Guidelines and Application

If you have determined your organization will likely meet 3M’s charitable giving or product donation guidelines it is important to understand that there are some additional exclusions in relation to our Corporate Giving Policy.

3M’s “In the Community Policy” excludes the following:

• Groups not registered by Revenue Canada as a registered charitable organization
• Team/Individual pursuits (e.g. monies for travel or personal gain)
• Third-party fundraising events (e.g. local schools or golf tournaments raising money for charity)
• Advocacy groups (e.g. religious, social, political or economic)
• Conferences or annual meetings
• Groups, programs or organizations located outside of Canada
• Sport Teams or Individual Athletes

In addition, it is important for you to note our product donations inventory is a carefully managed resource. As much as we would like to assist with all requests, 3M does not have the ability to draw from all product inventory, therefore we are sometimes unable to fulfill requests for specific 3M product.

If your organization meets both the general and specific guideline requirements and is looking for support in the form of a charitable donation or a product donation, please fill in the online form and send to the 3M Canada link. Each application will be reviewed within ten days and you will receive confirmation on the status of your request. All product donations will take a minimum of four weeks to arrive at your location.

An application form must accompany all requests.
