Zirconium oxide combines natural appearence with high strength
Lava crowns and bridges possess a translucent framework of high-strength zirconium oxide. The CAD/CAM-manufactured framework can be matched precisely to the colour of the patient’s teeth, and its translucence mimics that of natural dentin.
Excellent aesthetics with individually coloured frameworks
The customised veneer ceramic Lava Ceram builts onto this unique framework. Excellent results with a perfectly natural transition between veneer ceramic, framework and preparation margin at the tapered edge of the crown are the result, even supragingival. With Lava, a distinct shoulder either for support of the framework or for aesthetic reasons as common for traditional all-ceramic restorations is not necessary anymore.
The concept of Lava is striving to mimic nature. Lava™ fits easily into established processes, treatment procedures and collaborative arrangements, and therefore few things will change in your practice - from the familiar chamfer or shoulder preparation to the impression, the making of the model, and the easy cementation of the veneered crowns and bridges.
You will work with the lab you trust, as usual, and receive the reliable veneering quality from your preferred dental technician. The production of the framework is the only work the lab will delegate to a Lava milling centre.
The working procedure between dental practise and laboratory remains the same, only the manufacturing of the framework is done by the Lava milling centre
